The kids and I drove to San Diego to watch Rhett's cousin, Ryan, graduate from boot camp. We are proud of all the accomplishments he has made over the last several weeks (months). It is nice to have another Marine in the family. Ooh-Rah!
I have recently received a handful of pictures from my sweet husband. Helps the kids and I better understand what the world looks like right now through his eyes. From children, food, and transportation this is the life he sees. I love him dearly and am beyond proud of him.
Since there is no snow at our house we drove to the mountains (Big Bear) and found some. While there we piled all three kids into the sled and sent them on their merry little way. Two out of three thought the ride was fun. One however, was very vocal in letting us know he did not enjoy it one bit. Ryker made snow angels, Lena wanted to be buried in snow, and Royce just wanted to sit on the snow with his Momma.
We were able to spend a couple of days & nights at a beach cottage down in Southern California. We enjoyed the Pacific Ocean and embraced the mounds of sand that came with living on the beach. The ocean water was freezing cold. The marshmallow roast was blazing fun. The time spent together was completely precious.
